General Greene's Southern Campaign:

Setting: Late 1781

Listen as Major General Nathanael Greene tells of his time in the Southern States from his arrival in December 1780 thru the stalemate outside Charles Towne in 1781. This presentation will focus on when Greene took command of the Southern Continental army and each battle fought during his command, as well as the officers who served with him. This presentation takes roughly and hour to an hour and a half and is followed by a question and answer segment.

Major General Nathanael Greene 

John Eager Howard: Recruiting for the Continental Army:

Setting: April 1781

Lt. Colonel John Eager Howard of the Maryland Continental Line has been sent by General Greene to recruit a new regiment for the Southern Continental Army. Howard also tells the new recruits about the battles he has been in so far: Camden, Cowpens, and Guilford Courthouse.  After telling the stories of those battles, Lt. Col. Howard will take the new regiment and teach them the Manual of Arms written by Barron Von Steuben at Valley Forge. This Presentation takes roughly 30 Minutes to complete the lecture portion and 45 Minutes to an Hour for the military drill portion. The military drill portion is followed by a Question and answer segment. This presentation is also geared more toward Middle School and High School students.
